Model of a Basse-Indrais fishing boat of the misainier type. Open hull, decked on the front. Foremast rigged on its mast. Swimming benches in the cockpit. Important anchor with jas allowing the boat in fishing to be maintained has the anchor in the bed of the current. Hull planked on ribs, painted in its original colors. Circa 1889 as the signature "A. Libaudière" in ink on the model support. Length 55 cm, height 62 cm. Note: Authentic replica of a traditional fishing boat, used in the Loire estuary. These canoes were about 5 meters long, had a very shallow draft due to the high bottom (mud and sand), and were very well canvased to overcome the effects of the current. They were generally lined with oak on bent acacia frames. Note 2 : Model with a real patrimonial interest.
