SECRETARY LOUIS XVI in black lacquer with gilded highlights decorated with a dreamlike landscape with characters, trees, barriers and bridges. It opens with 1 drawer, 1 flap and 2 doors framed by uprights with cut sides underlined by bronzes. The sides are slightly curved and protruding. Beautiful interior veneer with flower marquetry. Aleppo breccia marble top (1 chip). Stamped by RUBESTUCK. Ep.XVIIIè. H.133 L.79 P.40. A model in the same spirit is reproduced in the KJELLBERG, page 778.
