Italian RELIQUARY OR CATAFALQUE DOOR mounted on casters under the feet in gilded and patinated wood richly carved with 2 servants holding acanthus leaves simulating horns of plenty and angels' heads in their hands. In the center, a large medallion with Christ and Mary Magdalene illustrating the famous scene "Do not touch me", in Latin "Noli me tangere". In the lower part, a dragon head eating an apple, symbolizing the Temptation. This door had to slide on the side to let glimpse all or part of the remains of this Saint. Italy 2nd half of the XVIIth.
