"Dominique Vivant Denon, Minister of Arts of Napoleon, had throughout his career an artistic practice, passing by drawing and engraving. Thanks to his discovery of lithography in the workshop of Aloys Senefelder in Munich in 1809, he experimented with this still confidential reproduction technique.
