Large silk Ghoum (Iran) circa 1965 (Shah's era)
Velvet, warp, weft and bangs in silk.
Salmon pink field decorated with birds, palmette flowers in scrolls and garlands, decorated with a central floral medallion in midnight blue, old gold and turquoise in the form of stylized diamond. Four spandrels old gold with floral crowns.
Density of about 10 000 knots per dm2.
Good condition.
