ARINGHI (Paul). Roma subterranea novissima, in qua antiqua Christianorum et praecipue martyrum coemeteria... Arhemiae, apud J. F. Hagium, 1671. In-12, [12] f. (of which the front), 630 p., [15] f., figs, pl., contemporary brown calf, spine with 4 nerves, garnet colored title, ornamented caissons, gilt roulette at the edges (one corner dulled, small snags in the plan, short margin at the head with qq. letters touched, browning). Work illustrated with 50 copper-engraved plates (qq. numbering defects), an engraved frontispiece, and a folding plan, and numerous woodcut figures in the text. It is the abridged Latin translation of Bosio's famous work, enriched with notes by P. Aringhi (Graesse I, 196). Provenance: D.
