Painter, art critic and priest, Maurice Morel, published an interview with Marc Chagall in the newspaper La Croix on 22 June 1972.
"I was very happy to see you the other day. I have just received a copy of your article. Thank you very much. I am very touched by its style and by the great sincerity of your approach to me. I really appreciate your way of writing. I have used your permission and although there is not much to revise, I have made some small corrections. I hope to have the pleasure of meeting you again..."
