CHIRVAN carpet (Caucasus), late 19th century Dimensions : 165 x 98cm. Technical characteristics : Wool velvet on wool foundation. An anthracite and bluish field, supports a jagged lattice, honeycombed old gold decorated with floral compositions cruciform formed by four multicolored florets. A counter border sky and brick with chess pieces in positive / negative and another with polychrome bayadère bands, frame the broad main border blue abrasive kufic decoration, composed of geometric boxes ivory. Nice presence. A certificate of authenticity of the expert, Mr. Frank KASSAPIAN, will be given to the buyer.
