"[ARCHIVE de la CHÂTELLENIE de LILLE] Important set of 121 handwritten documents from the 14th, 16th and 17th centuries concerning the history of Lille and its region, to which are added five equally handwritten notebooks, two of which, more important, of about fifty and one hundred leaves. The documents are written on parchment or vellum, sometimes accompanied by wax or paper seals. They show the names of important local people of the time such as Jehan de Le Becque, the lord of La Haye, Jean Stapart, the bailiff Pierre Besart, Claude Masurel, Martin de Thieffries, Régnier, Jehan de Robles, Eustache and Charles de Croÿ, Sallembier, Gilles Blondel, the President Simon and many others.
