Oil on oak panel "Virgin and Child on a landscape background". By Jan Matsys (?). Flemish school, Antwerp. Period: 16th century. See on the back two labels: One refers to an attribution to Boltraffio Giovanni Antonio, student of Leonardo da Vinci. The other is dated November 21, 1909 and written by J. de Grez, indicating that this work would come from the convent of the Poor Clares in "Haren te slegen (?)". It seems that this work is the one mentioned on the website of the RKD and whose photo comes from the photographic archives of M.J. Friedländer mentioning "Freund von Moes / Amsterdam / pr. III 1910. Current provenance: former collections Nève de Mévergnies and van Ypersele de Strihou. Size: +/- 98x80cm.
