** Beautiful reproduction of the famous manuscript of the German surgeon Caspar Stromayr (16th century) which describes the medical-surgical practices to treat intestinal hernia with numerous color illustrations made by four different hands. The book was kept in the Lindau City Library, long forgotten until 1925 when the doctor & nbsp; Walter von Brunn published it bringing it to international attention.
