French-American painter, daughter of the painter Joseph Coomans (1816-1889) and Adelaide Lacroix (1838-1884), sister of the painter Diana Coomans (1861-1952) and of the poet Oscar Coomans (1848-1884). She learned to paint in her father's studio and emigrated to the United States in 1910, where she remained. Her works are exhibited in private European and American collections.
