FLAMAND CABINET conceived in ebony and tortoiseshell veneer decorated with wavy moldings, this cabinet opens with two leaves revealing ten drawers and a large drawer in the lower part. The central door framed by two columns and decorated with large arms of France (reported) opens to reveal a compartment decorated with five glass panels decorated with coats of arms and a black and white checkerboard floor. Flanders, 17th century.
The leaves and sides of this cabinet are decorated with later plates representing aristocratic characters surmounted by fanciful coats of arms.
