Small Songye fetish (D.R. Congo)
The female figure is shown standing, with her hands on either side of her scarified abdomen. A nail with a copper head is stuck in the top of the skull. Wood with a patina of use, small visible accidents.

Provenance: According to the collector's notes, it was acquired at the Hôtel des Ventes Loudmer Poulain on December 4, 1980, lot 185 (it was initially a pair)
