Missing in the first part of vol. Furthermore without the 5 plates mentioned in VD 17. - Somewhat browned, occasionally clearer. Clasps renewed, joints restored in places. - Inside cover with old hs. Ownership note (crossed out). One of the earliest bible editions of the publisher Stern in Lüneburg. With his woodcut device. 18th cent. calf over wooden boards with renewed brass clasps. - Lacking the main title, instead the leaf with colophon and device bound at the beginning. Without leaves 3-6 in the first part and the 5 plates recorded by VD 17. Some browning, here and there stronger. Joints partly restored.
