Edouard GOERG (1893-1969). L.A.S., Callian March 2, 1964, to Roger Leenhardt; 2 pages in-8 on his letterhead.
About the short film about him made by Roger Leenhardt entitled Des femmes et des fleurs, shown before Jacques Demy's famous film Les Parapluies de Cherbourg: "Dear Roger, I learn from a letter from Roland Oudot that the film you made about me is being shown in Paris at the same time as Les Parapluies de Cherbourg. Oudot congratulates me on the quality of the film, on the way it is edited, on the way the paintings are cut and chosen, and on what I say. It seems to me fair to share with you the compliments I have received and which are due to you. But I am moreover, delighted and flattered to go with The Umbrellas of Cherbourg advocated by some, shouted at rudely by others (on television) "...
Two L.A.S. from the painter Jacques PETIT to the collector Edouard Chapet, 1964 (plus one from René Génis) are attached.
