Baule style mask Ivory Coast Wood, pigments Height : 46 cm Anthropo-zoomorphic mask surmounted by four erect horns with striated decoration and tinted white at their tips. Two small pointed ears stand on either side of the horns. The hair is plated and suggested by tight incisions. The face is surrounded by a white collar on which a frieze of black triangles in relief stands out. The eyes are half closed and the eyelids are white. The nose is thin and elongated. The mouth is tight and carried forward. The temples are decorated with keloids. A small trapezoidal goatee finishes the bottom of the face.
