Gabonese Fang style statue Wood, metal Height: 66 cm Rotundity of the muscles, giving the statue a powerful presence combined with an elegance in the treatment of the details of the body, signified by a pretty series of scarifications on the pectoral muscles in relief, on the median line of the thorax, as well as on the edges of the umbilicus in relief. Small heart-shaped face, eyes in metallic beads, temples delicately decorated with scarified trinagles filled with small geometrical engravings. The headdress on either side of the skull goes down to the nape of the neck. Nice brown patina with mahogany tones.
