Lobi style couple, Burkina Faso Wood Height: 49 cm Bound, face to face couple appearing as if weightless, as if the figures were seated, keeping each other in balance by the superposition of the strength of their legs, and of their mutual arms embracing each other both behind the back and the nape of the neck of each other. Elongated ogival skulls, with small ridges at the back of the neck, topped by cap-shaped headdresses engraved with scarifications. Straight nose, filled cheekbones and cheeks, closed eyes. The perimeter of the umbilicus subtly decorated with scarifications. Beautiful couple.
