Vase de fleurs Oil on canvas. 46 x 38 cm. Signed lower right "Vlaminck". Artist's name on a label on the stretcher. Enclosed is a copy of the confirmation of the Wildenstein Institute with the reference number 1284 dated October 22, 1993. On a tabletop barely recognizable as such, a brown glazed ceramic jug, the neck of which highlights white by means of reflection. In it a bouquet of flowers in red and blue tones, which is contrasting against the white wall, which is shaded in the upper right quarter of the picture. Important French painter of modernism in the circle of French artists, who worked especially in close friendship with André Derain (1880-1954) and initiated the emergence of Fauvism. As a Post-Impressionist, he was temporarily mentored by the gallerist Daniel-Henry Kahnweiler. 1955 participant in documenta 1 in Kassel. 2008 Appreciation of his works through an exhibition at the Musée du Luxembourg in Paris.
