Sleeping child with books Oil on canvas. Doubled. 75 x 134 cm. In wide profiled frame. Resting her head on a pillow and placing a tablet next to her, the girl rests there with her shoes off and a basket next to her filled with books. An allegorical meaning in the sense of an exhaustion of erudition. Note: A painting with the same depiction is kept in the Statens Museum in Copenhagen.
