HOLY SEBASTIAN Oil on canvas. 134 x 98 cm. With his arms stretched upward tied to a tree the muscular saint, clad only in a white linen cloth around the hips, pierced by several arrows. He has turned his head with a golden nimbus of rays backwards. To his left on the ground are parts of his armor with helmet, which he wore as a Roman soldier. From above left in bright light, an angel with palm branch approaches the bound man. Mode of representation typical of this martyr.
