Harlip, Gregory Set of two original nude photographs. Before 1937. Vintages, silver gelatin on buff paper. Measures 23 x 17 cm each. Each with author's stamp on verso. Harlip was a photography studio specializing in celebrity portraits, based in London. Until 1937, the Harlip studio was located on Kurfürstendamm in Berlin. The Harlips then left Berlin because of the increasing repression against Jewish businesses and moved to London. After Dr. Harlip's death in 1945, Madame Harlip continued the business there as one of the great society photographers of the 1950s. - A bit silvered out in the margins. One sheet soiled and with nick on verso. Overall in good condition.
