Bauhaus Fuld telephone, also called "Bauhaus telephone". Frankfurt model - telephone construction & normal time. Frankfurt, circa 1930. metal body, black bakelite handset and handset fork, textile cord. H 11 cm. Bauhaus telephone. Around 1930. metal body, black bakelite receiver and fork, textile cable. - Both Marcel Breuer and Richard Schadewell are associated with the design of the Bauhaus telephone. - With the usual traces of use, the body with small chips, the mouthpiece loosened in its position, the cable probably in original condition, but defunct, overall in good condition. Both Marcel Breuer and Richard Schadewell are associated with the design of the Bauhaus telephone. In fact, however, the telephone was not created at the Bauhaus, but as part of the extensive urban planning program "Das Neue Frankfurt". In 1927, the "Deutsche Privat Telephon Gesellschaft H. Fuld & Co" initiated a competition for new forms of telephone apparatus, from which the "Frankfurt" model finally emerged. - With the usual signs of wear, the body with small chips, the mouthpiece loosened in its position, the cable probably in original condition, but defective, overall in good condition.
