It draws attention to the precarious situation of the working people and invites the child reader to sympathize with the working class struggle for freedom, solidarity, and equality. The simple drawings reference contemporary political poster art and are consistent with the ideological yet propagandistic message: people must unite to change unsatisfactory social and political conditions. - Paper browned.
