COFFEE POT WITH CHINESE DECOR Meissen, c. 1728. The pear-shaped body with surrounding garden scene over iron-red double ring border, with flowering shrubs and trees with flying insects and birds. Two Chinese groups, two figures having tea accompanied by a servant and another servant firing the kettle on a stove. The reverse with two figures kneeling in front of a stove on which a tea kettle is boiling. Handle and lid with Indian floral painting, the lid with iron red double ring borders. Lid mounted to the handle with metal chain. Without mark. Lid with gilding number 10. H 20 cm. Shallow chips on the lid and one on the spout. Gilding partially rubbed.
