In-8°. Full spotted calf of the period. Smooth spine richly decorated and gilt. Title in orange morocco and author's and tomes in olive morocco. Gilt lace around the boards and the back covers. Marbled edges. Tail of the spine of volume I damaged, rubbing here and there. Minor foxing.
"First edition" reprinted in London in 1813, with the preface of the author relating the disastrous fate of the 1st edition printed in Paris by Nicolle in 1810, seized and totally destroyed under Napoleon's order.
