CHRIST AS A PAINFUL MAN ON A SOCKEL South German, 17th century Wood, plastically carved, colored, back flattened and hollowed. Total h. 97 cm, h. 72 cm (figure). Above a rectangular base half-figure depiction of Christ after the scourging in a slightly twisted posture with the crown of thorns and shackles on the arms and neck.
