Of mixed Puerto Rican blood, Hondo began Graffiti/Writing in 1984 in Paris. In 1989, following a meeting with American painters, he started a non-figurative plastic work on canvas in parallel with his illegal paintings. Hondo participates in the first exhibitions of Graffiti Art at the Arab World Institute, at the CNAM Georges Pompidou Center and at the CRDC of Nantes for the bomb 'art exhibition in 1991. In 1996, he exhibits in situ at the Laiterie, Art Center of Strasbourg.

In 2001, he was one of the few artists invited to the Dakar Biennial in Senegal.

The Mucem RMN France, the Chelsea Foundation New York USA, the Friedrich Herbert Foundation Senegal are among the few institutions that have acquired his works. More recently, the Museum of the Philharmonie de Paris has presented one of his original works. Text: Y. R
