Émile Ernest NIVET (1871-1918).
The Shepherd lying down.
Sculpture in patinated plaster signed on the base.
23,5 x 75 x 21,5 cm.
(small chips and slight lack of patina).
Note : Our plaster is a reduction of the sculpture executed in 1930 by NIVET visible today on the square of the Town Hall of Levroux (Indre). This shepherd of Champagne berrichonne was given by the artist to his native town. It illustrates the ruralist vein of the sculptor.
