Saltcellar or spice shaker. Teruel, 18th century.
In glazed ceramic.
It presents faults in the polychromy, chips and chipping on the sides.
Measurements: 7 x 9.5 x 9.5 cm.
Saltcellar or spice shaker in Aragonese ceramics, glazed in cobalt blue on white. With an angular design and cubic structure, it has projections on the base and on the upper rim. The Teruel charter, as early as 1176, refers to the potters known as 'maestros de ollas', although the historian Llubiá indicates that the establishment of potters' workshops began with the founding of the city five years before they were mentioned in the charter.
