Petition dish, possibly German; 16th century.
Gilt and embossed bronze.
It has faults and flaws.
Measurements: 37 cm. diameter.
Plate in gilt bronze with embossed decoration on its seat based on grapes and vine leaves placed in an ordered composition, around which a legend develops in the form of a border. The petition plate was a common object in the development of the liturgy, since during a moment of the mass, the faithful are shown this object with the intention of offering the possibility of making a donation.
