"Embrujo de Sevilla" and "Nueva Maja", two MYRURGIA fragrances. Years 50-60. Moulded glass bottles. Provenance: Spanish private collection, formed between 1970 and 1995. Wear and tear due to use and the passage of time. Measurements: 12 x 4.5 x 4.5 cm (largest). "Embrujo de Sevilla", a fragrance created in 1933 and "Nueva Maja", two fragrances by Myrurgia, in moulded glass with plastic stoppers. Both still retain some perfume. Myrurgia is a perfumery company founded in Barcelona in 1916, on the basis of a family business, by Esteve Monegal y Prat. It achieved a very important presence not only in Spain, but also in the international market, with products - colognes, soaps, perfumes - that played with the charisma of orientalism ("Maderas de Oriente"), Hispanic exoticism ("Maja") or even clear hedonistic evocations ("orgía").
