TABRIZ carpet (Iran), Shah's time, middle of the 20th century
Dimensions : 330 x 220cm.
Technical characteristics : Wool velvet on a cotton foundation.
A ruby field is used as a support for a sowing of flowers of all kinds placed on stems compartmentalizing the bottom. The whole of these corollas forms polychrome floral compositions. Four counter borders, two pink and two old gold frame the main mauve, all five being garlands of exuberant and colorful flowers.
