Important BIDJAR carpet (Persia), late 19th century Dimensions : 500 x 215cm. Technical characteristics : Wool velvet on a cotton foundation. A marine field covered with polychrome stylized floral and leafy compositions placed on vegetal stems, supports, in its center, an ivory crenellated rhombus medallion and its arrowed pendants, adorned with a multicolored stylized vegetation. Three counter borders brick and sky with garlands of flowers frame the main ivory suite of blooming corollas decorated with vegetal branches in polychrome. Beautiful distinction.
