CREBILLON (Claude-Prosper Jolyot de). Works. Paris, Imprimerie Royale, 1750. 2 vols. in-4, marbled calf, spines decorated with gilt fillets framing the boards with fleurons at the corners, red edges (period binding). First collective edition, decorated with a beautiful allegorical frontispiece, a vignette on the title repeated for the two volumes, a headband and an initials ; the whole engraved by Lebas, after Boucher. As in some copies, there is also a portrait of the author engraved by Bachelou after Aved. A good copy complete with the 84 pp. of the "Triumvirate" bound at the end of the second volume. Usual defects to the bindings, some foxing.
