In-4, raspberry morocco, spine with ornate nerves, small copper plate (signed Favre 1900) on the first cover representing a bookbinder and whose reverse, visible on the front cover, bears the inscription "Aux Amis de la Maison du livre, 1900, Ch. Meunier", gilt tr., int. framed with gilt fillets, cover preserved (Ch. Meunier, 1918).
100 plates with captioned serpents, representing sumptuous bindings reproduced from the photograph.
Lacking at the head cap, a few rubbed, otherwise a fine copy enriched with a long article by Ch. Léandre Vaillat and a photograph of Charles Meunier signed in 1940 (the year of his death).
