SAINT-YVES d'ALVEYDRE. Mission des Ouvriers. Third edition. Paris, Calmann Lévy, 1884. Large in-8 of 64 pp. Brown half-chagrin, spine decorated, gilt title (period binding). Published the same year as the Mission des Juifs (which took the historical framework of Fabre d'Olivet's Histoire philosophique du genre humain) still by the occultist Saint-Yves d'Alveydre. Rousseurs. "The author addresses in a paternal tone to the workers after his appeal to the Powers of the Earth (Mission des Souverains). We discover the thought of this great esoteric man before the working masses of his time. In an era of excessive arrivism, Saint-Yves d'Alveydre was a meditator, disdaining the immediate for the immortal and his work can still save many generations. One can even say that it is now that the fertile phase of this one really begins. No matter how much you are accused of the most subversive and blackest intentions, your desires are legitimate and clear, when the ambitious of politics or pusillanimous ignorance do not interfere to exploit you. The social significance of the Mission will be considerable when it is understood. La Mission actulle des Ouvriers, published in Paris in 1882, has been reprinted twice in the nineteenth century (1883, 1884), again in the last century (1978) and finally in the twenty-first century. Presentation of the last edition by Dualpha in 2007.
