LUCK (Johann Jacob). Sylloge Numismatum Elegantiorum, quae Diversi Impp. Reges, Principes, Comites, Respublicae. Diversas ob causas ab Anno 1500 ad Annum usq. 1600 cudi fecerunt. Strasbourg, Typis Reppianis, 1620.
In-folio of (8) ff, 383 pp, (1) f. Tan calf, spine with gilt owls, long title page in red mar. Covers and corners worn, jaws split.
The illustration consists of a very fine engraved title after Petter Aubry, a large armorial vignette on the dedication leaf, a small armorial vignette on the epistle, and 294 engraved numismatic figures in the text (including 1 full page). Some pages are browned, but otherwise a very good copy of this "collection which has become quite rare" according to Brunet. Great genealogist and collector, Johann Jacob Luck (1574-1635) ended his career as bailiff of Staufenberg (Baden). (Brunet, III, 1217)
