In-8, [8]-79 pp. with 16 of 15 folding plates, red long-grained morocco, smooth spine decorated, double gilt fillet on the boards enclosing laurel braids, gilt tr. lace inside (period binding). Nice copy.
Unique edition. General Meunier (1751-1831) commanded the Ecole de Saint-Cyr from July 1, 1812 to July 30, 1814, and was admitted to retirement in February 1815.
Copy of general Pierre Dupont de l'Etang (1765-1840), the defeated of Bailén, now minister of War under the First Restoration (from March to December 1814 only), with autograph dispatch on the false title.
