2 vols. large in-4, marbled calf, spines decorated, triple gilt fillet framing the boards with floral design in spandrels, double gilt fillet on the edges.
The illustration consists of 4 vignettes, a frontispiece portrait and 45 folding plates. New edition corrected and considerably enlarged. Interesting work from a military point of view because of the plans of battles and marches found in the in-4 edition. (Quérard III, 35.) A fine copy.
