JOU (Louis). THE WAY OF THE CROSS. Fifteen woodcuts drawn and engraved by the xylographer Louis Jou. Paris, Louis Jou, 1915-1916. In-plano, in ff. under modern black folder with flaps. The first and one of the most beautiful woodcut works of the artist. General title with a signed letter dated 1922 from Louis Jou to André Suarès " A mon ami, bien affectueusement ", followed by 14 plates, 9 of which are signed in pencil. Each one accompanied by 2 lines of text and 2 ornate red letters, are mounted in a folder forming a passe partout. Copy without justification, oxidized leaves, some traces of fold.
