In-8, olive morocco, 1st plate decorated with a gilt fillet drawing a cross with a devil mosaic of red and black morocco sitting on a corner, lining and endpapers of morocco of the same hue, double endpapers, smooth spine, gilt head, covers and spine kept (modern binding).
First edition with its two misprints; p. 152 "capitaine" for "capitale" and p. 295 "éphémérides" for "éphémères". Spine faded, defects to covers and spine, traces of wear. The interior is fresh and with wide margins. (Vicaire III, 728) (Clouzot, 121).
