In 1872, Jean-Baptiste made a terracotta in which he depicts himself in the arms of his estranged wife and his sick son.
From this original terracotta, which entered the Fabius collection, two unnumbered copies were made and then fifteen numbered bronze copies by the publisher Valsuani in the second half of the 20th century.
