NAÏN carpet inlaid with silk (Iran), Shah period, mid 20th century
Dimensions : 285 x 185cm.
Technical characteristics : Velvet in wool and silk on a cotton foundation.
A bluish mandorla field covered with floral scrolls hosts a central and floral medallion, starry, ivory and turquoise. Two mouse gray counter borders frame the main ivory, all three being with polychrome floral garlands.
