Jurij SUBIC (1855-1890) was a Slovenian painter. After living in Athens, he went to Paris and stayed there in the 1880s. He painted the ceiling of the cabaret Le Tambourin. Jurij SUBIC frequented Montmartre and visited Normandy. Our painting belongs to this period of the painter's life since it is located in Paris and dated 82. Several works of the painter are now kept in the National Gallery of Slovenia
