This composition represents a modern interpretation of the famous 1863 oil painting Déjeuner sur l'Herbe by Édouard Manet. The original 1964 diptych is the first mechanically produced work by Alain Jacquet, later known as the genesis of Mechanical Art, or Mec'Art.
