Marked with the ricasso Manufacture Coulaux Frères (the Coulaux brothers practiced since 1801). Length of the blade: 780mm. Gilded bronze mounting. Pommel in stick with the leonine mask. Branch of guard joining the muffle of the lion to the quillon in the form of a double chain in winding of brass wire. Ebony spindle grooved in long with four sides. Inverted quillon, central plate with rectangular cartouche, basal half-oreillon with radiating decoration forming a cover. In its scabbard entirely in brass leaf. Soldered palmette knob, floral decoration, fish scales, surrounding a cartouche in relief with antique decoration and surmounting a central cartouche bearing on a matted background an imperial eagle crowned senestrogyre surmounting lightning bolts. The reverse side of the scabbard is blank of any decoration. Slight shocks on the edge of the scabbard, a few tiny spots of oxidation on the terminal part of the blade (1-).
