Glaive type École de Mars (1794) with an overall length of 690mm. Symmetrical blade with four sides of 520mm. Point in the axis of the four-sided rib also. A few spots of oxidation, missing wire (forging defect). Cast bronze spindle, flake handle, rectangular bronze boxed guard. Raised Phrygian cap mumps, non jointed steel guard branch. Two quillons arched towards the point in steel with olive brass termination. In its scabbard with wood core dressed with pressed brass leaves and with crevices revealing a red velvet trim (unstained). (2)
