Beautiful French court sword mid 18th century. Triangular blade with three hollow sides, 770mm long. Engraved decoration in the third of foliage scrolls. Remainder of inscription "Vive le roy" (Roy erased). Beautiful gilded iron frame. Round pommel with prominent rivet button. Single guard branch, short lenticular quillon arched forward. Two steps of donkey. Disymmetrical double pontat. The whole frame is covered with an engraving with birds and flowers in relief on a golden background. Wooden spindle dressed with a fine filigree in silver wire chevrons. Two braided silver ferrules forming the ends. Without scabbard. Condition 2+.
